Manufactured homes are manufactured off-site housing to live in advance, usually in standard sections that can be easily transported and assembled. Some current prefab home designs including architectural details inspired by postmodernism or futuristic architecture.
Prefabricated houses have not been particularly successful in the market, the possible reasons for this include:
* Households not currently produce profitable enough for current demand.
* Households are not considered a realistic housing solution for the average consumer.
* The consumer is not familiar with the concept, or do not wish.

* The difficulties in obtaining financing due to the strict guidelines being used by lenders to evaluate loan manufactured home.
Recently, however, modern architects are experimenting more often with prefabrication as a means of delivering well-designed modern homes and mass produced. The word "prefab" is not a term like modular home industry, preformed house, industrial house, or built on the site of origin. In the UK the word "prefab" is often associated with a specific type of prefabricated house built in large numbers after World War II as a temporary replacement for homes that were destroyed by bombs, particularly in London. Despite the intention that these homes would be a strictly temporary measure, many remained inhabited for years or even decades after the end of the war. A small number are still in use in the 21 st century.
The manufactured home is much less labor compared to conventional houses or homes. Most companies are selling pre manufactured homes or modular prefabricated houses called "mobile homes" or "precast houses."
Manufactured homes are becoming popular in Europe, Canada and the United States as are cheap. Local building codes in the U.S. not apply to houses or trailers, however, these homes are built according to specialized guidelines (HUD federal regulations) for manufactured housing. Manufactured homes are not allowed in some communities.
